Igeekphone on June 21 news, news source @ISAQUES81 tweeted yesterday (June 20) on the X platform, saying that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra mobile phone ultra-wide Angle will use a new 50 million pixel ISOCELL JN1 sensor, The sensitive area is 1/2.76 inch.
For comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has 12 megapixels in ultra-wide Angle, while the JN1 is slightly smaller but has a higher resolution of 50 megapixels.
According to Igeekphone, the ISOCELL JN1 is Samsung’s first 0.64 micron (one millionth of a meter) 50-megapixel image sensor.
Compared with existing image sensors, it can achieve higher pixels in a smaller chip size, and achieve a thin design while improving the shooting performance of mobile devices.
The source also said the Galaxy S25 Ultra phone will also upgrade the 3X telephoto lens with a new 1/3-inch ISOCELL sensor, which is slightly larger than the current sensor and has a higher resolution than the current 50 megapixels.
With the exception of the ultra-wide Angle camera, all cameras on the phone should be equipped with OIS to improve anti-shake and image quality in low light conditions.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely have the same front-facing camera as its predecessor, continuing to use 12 megapixels.
