The size of ISOCELL HP2 is 0.6 micron, adopts a 1/1.3 inch optical format, and supports Samsung’s 16-in-1 pixel technology. Based on 16-in-1 pixel technology, this sensor can simulate different pixel sizes to adapt to different light levels, so that the camera can function in more scenes.
In low-light environments, the HP2 is able to convert the sensor into a 1.2-micron 50MP or 2.4-micron 12.5MP image sensor by combining 4 to 16 adjacent pixels.
At the same time, based on Samsung’s latest D-VTG (Double Vertical Transfer Gate) technology, the HP2 is able to transfer electrons from the pixels to the logic layer, thereby reducing the problem of overexposure of photos in bright light environments.
At present, ISOCELL HP2 has entered the mass production stage, and it is expected to appear on more smartphones in addition to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
