It has been reported multiple times that Samsung will upgrade to a 200MP camera sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the camera sensor’s features weren’t revealed. Now, reliable tipster Ice Universe has claimed that the main camera of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is 200MP, and the sensor size is 1/1.3 inches, which is the same as the iPhone 14 Pro (the main camera of the iPhone 14 Pro is 48MP and the size is 1/1.3 inch).
Not only that, the main camera of the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a unit pixel area of 0.6μm and an aperture of f/1.7, which is a small improvement compared to the previous generation Galaxy S22 Ultra. PS: The main camera of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is 108MP, the sensor size is 1/1.33 inches, the unit pixel area is 0.8µm, and the aperture is f/1.8.
The sensor size of the above models is not as good as that of the Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra, which debuted the Sony IMX989 and has a complete 1-inch super outsole, which means that the 12S Ultra is ahead of Samsung’s generation flagship.
In addition, it is rumored that the Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with a 10MP telephoto camera, supports 3x optical zoom, uses a 6.8-inch slightly curved OLED screen, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship processor, and has a battery of 5000mAh. Until its premiere (probably January-March 2023), a lot may still change.
