Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S23 series of new mobile phones at the Unpacked event in the spring of 2023. According to reports, Samsung will hold a major Unpacked offline event in San Francisco for the launch of the Galaxy S23.
South Korean media quoted people familiar with Samsung Electronics executives as saying that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Unpacked event will be held in early February 2023. The event will be held in San Francisco like previous events. Samsung last unveiled the Galaxy S20 series of phones at its full Unpacked event in San Francisco.
The source didn’t provide an exact date, but other reports did mention that the event could take place in the first week of February. Since the Samsung Galaxy S22 series was announced on February 9, 2022, its successor may also be unveiled in the same time frame.
Samsung turned to a virtual Unpacked launch event after the 2020 epidemic, releasing the new Galaxy S and Galaxy Z flagships online. Samsung did have a few hands-on sessions for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 this year, but it hasn’t returned to a full-fledged offline Unpacked event yet.
Other reports suggest that the Galaxy S23 could cost more than its predecessor due to inflationary pressures. Whether this ends up being a reality remains to be seen. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 “overclocked” chip.
