A former employee of Samsung ( Super Roader ) shared extremely interesting information about the processor in the Galaxy S22. According to his state of knowledge, Samsung was to resign from placing the new Exynos 2200 chip in the Galaxy S22, which is to result from huge problems with the production of components. This would mean that the Samsung Galaxy S22 would get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 mobile platform.
We do not yet know exactly how certain this information is. Ice universe claims that the Galaxy S22 with Exynos 2200 will be available in selected markets. However, there is no doubt that the availability will be very limited and that Snapdragon is to play the first fiddle now.
Almost every year, Qualcomm units won with Samsung’s proprietary processors in terms of performance, stability, energy efficiency, and operating temperature. Last year’s Exynos 2100 came very close to the Snapdragon 888. It is true that this is mainly due to the imperfection of the latter, but the fact remains. Certainly, the difference between them is much smaller than that of the E990 and Snapdragon 865.
According to the first tests, the Exynos 2200 was to compensate for this difference even more. Well, thanks to the graphics from AMD in Exynos, Qualcomm was supposed to be in a worse position. Therefore, it is difficult to be happy about the course of events.
Of course, we will find out everything after the premiere of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the first comparative tests of new processors – if the Exynos 2200 actually goes anywhere on the market.
