Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy Tab S8 last night, and in addition to being more powerful, the new tablet also has a sturdier body than its predecessor.
As you may recall, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 use a material called Armor aluminum, and Samsung confirmed that the foldable phone’s armor aluminum solution is also used in the Galaxy S22 and Tab S8 series.
While the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has the narrowest bezel to date, that shouldn’t affect its structural rigidity. Samsung claims Galaxy Tab S8 series is 40 percent less likely to bend than Galaxy Tab S7 due to its use of armor aluminum.
No users have reported bending problems with Galaxy Tab S7, but since tablets can deform from being sat on, the use of the new, stronger material must be a good thing, reducing the likelihood of bending by about 40% if you accidentally sit on Galaxy Tab S8.

Igeekphone understands that these improvements have been made with environmental concerns in mind, as both Galaxy S22 and Tab S8 series use parts containing plastic recycled from discarded fishing nets. In addition, they are shipped in new environmentally friendly packaging that is smaller than last year.
