Mass production of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 is likely to begin this November, with launch shortly thereafter in January 2022. There are already some rumors about the Galaxy S22, but now, for the first time, official information is entering the network. They affect the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S22 + and S22 Ultra.
According to SamMobile, SDI, a subsidiary of Samsung, has submitted two new batteries for certification in China. Judging by the model numbers, these are the batteries of the Galaxy S22 + and S22 Ultra.
The battery with the model number EB-BS906ABY is said to have a capacity of 4500mAh and will probably be used for the S22 +. The second battery is called EB-BS908ABY and is said to have a maximum capacity of 5000mAh. This is probably built into the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
That would mean that there could be no real upgrade or even a downgrade for the new cell phones in terms of battery. The S22 Ultra would have the same battery capacity as the S21 Ultra, but the capacity of the S22 + would be smaller than that of its predecessor.
It is possible that the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Series phones will still offer better battery life than the previous generation. The battery life also depends on the hardware installed. A new, more efficient processor may protect them. The new displays and cameras can also be critical to battery performance.
