The specific release time of the iPhone 12 and Huawei Mate 40 is still in the confidential stage. Now Samsung Galaxy S21 has been exposed one after another. We have seen a lot of its renders before and some upgrade configurations. Now some blogs once again found the codes of three models of the Galaxy S21 series in its system firmware.
Tucked in Korean community forums of Samsung, is a posting that depicts all of the expected three 2021 S series phones the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra or whatever Samsung names them and with model numbers SM-G991U, SM-G996U, SM-G998U that indicate those are the Verizon versions, too. Since the start of this series, it is estimated that Samsung’s flagship S series should be released three at once.
Recently, the Galaxy S21 has just been discovered through China’s 3C certification body. The leaked information has revealed a battery with a “huge” capacity is equipped on the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus. The first version is the Galaxy S21 with code EB-BG991ABY (SM-G991) will have the smallest battery with a capacity of 3880mAh.
Next up is the version numbered EB-BG996ABY (SM-G996), which is said to be the Galaxy S21 Plus model with a high capacity battery of up to 4660mAh. Note that this is the level of battery capacity included in the review list and maybe slightly adjusted when the device is officially released.
Accordingly, many sources have confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will inherit the 4000mAh battery of its predecessor, while the Galaxy S21 Plus will have a large 4500mAh battery. With a large capacity battery, Samsung also seems to intend to equip a 60W fast charger for the device.
In addition, the information revealed that the Galaxy S21 battery will be manufactured by a Chinese company called Ningde Amperex Technology Limited.
Based on what we know so far, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be a slight upgrade to the Galaxy S20 with some new enhancements such as the 108MP ISOCELL Bright HM1 sensor and Qualcomm’s new 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor. According to a report, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will also be compatible with the S Pen stylus, which could be an alternative to the Galaxy Note series next year.
Don’t expect Samsung to use Snapdragon chips in the entire market. The Korean manufacturer is expected to continue to maintain the tradition of using the Exynos 1000 chip for international markets, with the Korean and US markets using the Snapdragon 875 chip.
