Although the announcement of the Galaxy S11 still takes a while, the first renders of the upcoming top device of Samsung are now leaked. The device gets a new design with thinner edges around the screen and five cameras on the back. The renders are from smartphone tasty OnLeaks and put online by website 91Mobiles.
The images show that the design of the Galaxy S11 is being adjusted, making the smartphone look like the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. This is mainly because the camera hole in the screen is now in the middle, and not – as with the Galaxy S10 and S10+ – on the right side. The edges around the display also appear to be slightly thinner than with the S10 series.
According to 91Mobiles, the screen is 6.7 inches, while this is 6.1 inches with the S10. This would make the screen of the regular Galaxy S1 even larger than that of the current Galaxy S10+ (6.4 inches). According to OnLeaks, the S11 has a metal frame and glass back, just like its predecessor. With dimensions of 161.9 by 73.7 by 7.8mm, the smartphone is longer and wider than the S10, but just as thick.
The new camera stands out on the back. Just like the previously leaked Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71, the camera of the S11 has an L-shape. A total of five cameras would be present, including three ‘normal’ cameras and a Time of Flight sensor. What the 5th lens is for is still unclear. According to the latest rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S11 has a new 108MP camera and a lens with 5x optical zoom, but much is not yet known.
In recent weeks, a few things have been leaked about the Galaxy S11. For example, the smartphone might have a screen with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz, which makes images look much smoother. In addition, it is expected that the Galaxy S11 has an Exynos 990 chip, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen and larger batteries. They are also likely to run on the new Android 10.
Being a render, we must doubt that the final design is identical, although the history of OnLeaks is a good clue to think that it is quite likely that the design line of the Galaxy S11 is more than similar to what we have seen today.
