There are five different devices and three different series of files in the Galaxy S20 kernel source code. Including the “XYZ project”, “Canvas project” and “Winner2 project”. The XYZ project is the Galaxy S20 series: The Galaxy S20 is x1, the Galaxy S20 + is y2, and the S20 Ultra is z3.
“Canvas” may be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. “C2” is currently found, but there may be two devices “c0” and “c1”, but it is not possible to confirm their existence.
Finally, there is Project Winner2. Considering that the first Galaxy Fold is codenamed “Project Winner”, it is speculated that Project Winner2 is likely to be Galaxy Fold 2. Rumor has it that the Galaxy Fold 2 is codenamed “champ”. “But this may be another foldable device Samsung is developing.
The “Kona” code refers to Snapdragon 865. In the code, we can see that “winner2” and “canvas” are both based on Snapdragon 865, which is “Kona”.
Several “Kconfig” files detail the Snapdragon 865 devices that Samsung has released or is about to release. They include “Kconfig.winner2”, “Kconfig.canvas”, and “Kconfig.xyz”. Among them, the Galaxy S20 series is stored in the “Kconfig.xyz” file. In the file, we can see in Korea, the USA, Canada, China, and Japan. For “Canvas”, the file only shows the United States, which means that the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy Note 20 is available in the United States.
In the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip’s kernel source code. XDA also found a new device “Project Zodiac” equipped with Snapdragon 855. The device will be available in China as this is the only region mentioned.
