Samsung Galaxy M55 5G has been released in Brazil, with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, 5000mAh battery and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is only available in Brazil in the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version, priced at 2,699 Brazilian reals. Available in light green and dark blue, Samsung is expected to bring the Galaxy M55 5G to more markets later this year.
The Galaxy M55 5G is the successor to the Galaxy M54 5G, and both use the same design language with curved bezels and a perforated screen. The upgrade is the front-facing camera, which has been increased from 32 megapixels in the Galaxy M54 5G to 50 megapixels. However, the main camera has been downgraded, from 108 million pixels to 50 million pixels, support OIS anti-shake, but also supplemented by an 8 million pixel ultra-wide Angle lens and a 2 million pixel macro lens.
In terms of core configuration, the Galaxy M55 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, replacing the previous generation of Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 processor. It is worth mentioning that the battery capacity of the new machine has also been reduced from 6000mAh to 5000mAh, and 25W fast charge is supported.
The Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED Plus display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness.
In terms of system, the machine is preloaded with One UI 6.1 operating system based on Android 14. In other aspects, the Galaxy M55 5G also has dual speakers, NFC function, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C interface, and IP67 dust and water resistance rating, under the screen fingerprint.
