after introducing the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M31s (in February and July), Samsung today announced the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition. The device’s specifications and price have been shared by Amazon before. However, today the Korean technology giant just announced and determined the date of selling the product.
The Galaxy M31 Prime Edition comes in a single 6GB / 128GB memory configuration priced at INR 16,499 ($225) and has three color options: Ocean Blue, Space Black, and Iceberg Blue. Amazon says there’s also a 64GB variant, but it’s not mentioned in Samsung’s press release or on its official website in India.
The Galaxy M31 Prime Edition will go on sale in India from October 17 through the online stores of Samsung, Amazon.in, and select retail stores nationwide. But Amazon Prime members will have a chance to buy it one day early.
Plus, Prime Edition comes in a new color (Iceberg Blue) and a free 3-month Amazon Prime subscription promotion. Additionally, the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition comes with the “Always On” shopping app on Amazon. It enables quick access to products on Amazon with just one swipe right on the home screen.
Besides, smartphones come pre-installed with a dedicated folder. This is home to popular apps in the Amazon ecosystem like Amazon Shopping, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Kindle, and Audible. This is why the phone is called “Prime Edition”.
Specifications
The Galaxy M31 Prime Edition shares configuration and design with the Galaxy M31. That means you get an Exynos 9611 SoC and a 6.4-inch FullHD + Super AMOLED display. It owns a 32MP selfie camera and a 4-camera system with a 64MP main sensor on the back. It will run One UI 2.1 based on Android 10. You also get a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and a 6000mAh battery with 15W charging.
