Samsung has officially announced this morning that the foldable Galaxy Fold is officially coming to the Netherlands. This makes the Netherlands one of the few countries where the smartphone is released. The folding smartphone can be ordered from December 20. Customers will receive the device at home from January 10, 2020.
The Galaxy Fold is a foldable smartphone with an Infinity Flex Display. If the device is closed, the cover display gives access to the most important functions. When folded out, a 7.3-inch screen is available for multitasking, among other things. If users switch between the two screens, App Continuity ensures that the image moves smoothly from the cover display to the main screen.
Previously, Samsung ran into hardware problems with early copies of the Galaxy Fold. Copies of the foldable smartphone sent to reviewers were found to have problems. Samsung reports that it has refined the Galaxy Fold in recent months to deliver the best possible experiences, including the design and materials have been improved.
Samsung offers support on the Galaxy Fold via a 24/7 available online support hub or via telephone support. Additional programs are also available such as Samsung Care +, which also covers damage to the device. The Samsung Galaxy Fold can be ordered in Cosmos Black color from 20 December for a suggested retail price of €2020 (about US$ 2247) at the Samsung Experience Store, Samsung e-store, KPN, and T-Mobile. Vodafone is no longer one of the partners where the device will be sold.
With the purchase of a Galaxy Fold, you receive free Galaxy Buds worth €149 (US$ 165.81) and an Aramid Fiber Slim Cover. The first customers receive the device on January 10, 2020, at home.
