Samsung is one of the first companies to release a folding screen smartphone. Recently Samsung released the Galaxy Z Flip, a folding screen smartphone with a new design. Now the company is preparing to release the second generation of this folding smartphone, Galaxy Fold 2
And this model is said to have installed an under-display camera for the first time. There are no confirmed statements yet about the Galaxy Fold 2. But a lot of rumors, one of them now comes from @UniverseIce, allegedly he wants to know that Samsung will use the new camera technology.
The model, which is code-named “Champ”, is said to be equipped with a camera under the display. If this proves to be true, the Galaxy Fold 2 will be the first smartphone from Samsung with this new technology.
He also revealed that unlike the “Galaxy Z Flip”, which is mainly produced in Vietnam, all production of Champ is carried out at the Gumi Plant in Gyeongbuk, South Korea. The price is expected to be the same as the Fold.
Chinese smartphone brands such as Xiaomi and Oppo also develop similar technology. Not only that, they already showed it off. But Samsung has never shown off their technology. Xiaomi and Oppo themselves have not released smartphones with under-display camera technology. In addition to these two companies, Honor and OnePlus also developed similar technology.
According to Max Weinbach, the presentation of the Galaxy Fold 2 will be held in July, or in extreme cases, it may be postponed until August. The company plans to separate the Galaxy Z Flip clamshell line-up with the Galaxy Fold folding tablets. As I said, Samsung has not yet officially commented on the model.
