The Samsung Galaxy Fold folding mobile phone series of new design patent exposure, showing the next generation of camera position may vary.
In August of this year, LetsGoDigital reported that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 folding screen phone may use a water drop screen design. When the phone is fully deployed, there is a wider slot at the top right of the screen where the camera and sensor should be.
Recently, the new design patent of the Samsung Galaxy Fold folding mobile phone series has been exposed, showing another design. It is understood that Samsung applied for a design patent to The Haque System on November 14, 2018, for the international registration of industrial designs, and then added the patent to the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) database in June 2019. The patent was officially exposed in the near future, and the patent sketch shows three designs.
The positions of the camera and sensor in the three different design modes are located at the upper left and upper right of the mobile phone. There is no more news for the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 folding screen phone. It was reported that Samsung is likely to launch a new foldable phone in February next year (MWC 2020).
