Samsung has finally made official the much-rumored Samsung Galaxy A9. His first phone that has neither a dual camera nor triple, but four in total in the back. The new mid-range phone will use the four sensors to take pictures of different types and in different environments.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 brings us four cameras in its back and one in the front. “Why so many cameras?” we can ask ourselves Unlike other manufacturers such as Google that opt for a single camera full of artificial intelligence, Samsung tries to offer cameras dedicated to each type of photography. This is what we will find in the five cameras (four rear and one front) available:
- Main camera: 24MP and aperture f / 1.7 This camera is the one that will be used for most photographs taken.
- Telephoto: 10MP with 2x optical zoom and aperture f / 2.4 To achieve an optical zoom without loss of detail by not cropping the image.
- Ultra-wide: 8MP with an angle of 120º and aperture of f / 2.4 This camera is designed to capture larger scenes and get all the elements in the photograph to be brought together.
- Depth: 5MP and aperture of f / 2.2 The camera that will allow you to take photographs in portrait mode and play with the bokeh of the images.
- Front: 24MP and f / 2.0 aperture Designed to take selfies in detail with those 24MP that match the back.
Not all are the four cameras in the new Samsung Galaxy A9. The South Korean manufacturer has included a 6.3-inch super AMOLED screen at 1080 x 2220 pixels. All in a device of 162.5 x 77 x 7.8 mm and 183 grams of weight.
Its design follows the manufacturer’s guidelines and maintains a central fingerprint reader at the rear. The front symmetry is also maintained without adding any notch and with the same frame thickness at the top and bottom. The phone has curved edges and a slight curvature on the screen to join the edge and make it more ergonomic.
Inside Samsung has opted for two different versions. One of them comes with 6GB of RAM, while the other one has 8GB. Both have a storage of 128GB and Micro SD slot to expand storage. The battery that powers this phone is 3720mAh and will come with Android Oreo 8.0.
The Samsung assistant does not lack in this new terminal, Bixby is available in the Samsung Galaxy A9 as well as other functions and services of the manufacturer: Samsung Health, App Pair, Samsung Pay or similar. That yes, it depends on the region or country in which you are.
How these four cameras work together and in real life at the moment we can not know. Everything depends on how optimized the software is placed by Samsung to make them work. We’ll know when you try the phone more in detail.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes in a total of three different colors and two different internal models. It can be purchased either with 6GB of RAM or with 8GB of RAM. While the available colors are Caviar Black (black), Lemonade Blue (turquoise) and Bubblegum Pink (pink). The availability of colors may also vary by country.
