Samsung announced today the launch of the Galaxy A9 Pro, which is an international version of the first smartphone of the brand with a notch in the form of a small hole in the screen, the Galaxy A8s – launched only in China. The mobile comes to the international market with Snapdragon 710 processor and a set of triple cameras on the back.
The Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) is characterized by a design very similar to what we will see in the Galaxy S10: at the top left, there is a small hole where the front camera is inserted. Although it is a mid-range device, Samsung wanted to integrate a photographic module with three rear sensors. An innovative solution for the South Korean company and that we will see again in the future on other devices.
The screen is 6.4 inches with Full HD + resolution and aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. The smartphone mounts the Infinity-O display, the new Samsung panel that is characterized by the presence of a hole in the upper left. This innovative solution has allowed Samsung to decrease the frames and give more space to the display. The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 710 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
At the back, we find a triple camera, with the main 24MP sensor and a focal aperture of 1.7. The two secondary sensors are dedicated to shots with zoom and to improve the depth of field. The front camera is 24MP with a focal aperture of 2.0. At the back, we also find the physical sensor for fingerprints. It is powered by a 3400mAh battery with quick charge support.
Finally, the official sales price of the device. Galaxy A9 Pro (2019); gray, blue and green variant. The price is about $533. The phone will be released in South Korea on February 28, when the future of the other regions were not announced.
