Samsung also blesses us for the Mobile World Congress 2019 with a new edition of its complete Galaxy A series, which in the future ranges from the entry-level model to a surprisingly well-equipped model with a fingerprint reader in the display, plenty of storage and a large battery.
As reported by MySmartPrice, citing internal marketing materials from the Korean electronics giant, there will initially be three models in Europe, the Samsung Galaxy A10, A30, and A50. The former model is a relatively cheap low-end model but still provides very neat equipment.
Galaxy A10
As entry-level A-series phone, the Galaxy A10 will soon be used. As you can already see in the above overview, it has a 6.2 inch LCD screen with a notch for the 5MP front camera. The housing is made of shiny plastic. On the back is a single 13MP camera with an f / 1.9 aperture. Samsung’s Exynos 7884 processor does the calculation and has 3GB of RAM available. By default, you get 32GB of storage. The device would not have a fingerprint sensor. The battery has a capacity of 4000mAh.
This data does not fully correspond to the recent benchmark entry of the A10. In it, for example, the device only had 2GB of memory. That test mentioned the Exynos 7885, but also the 7884 identifies itself as such, so it can be correct.
Galaxy A30
The Galaxy A30 has a 6.4-inch screen-with-notch, which is also of the AMOLED type. This device also runs on a variant of Samsung’s Exynos 7885 processor, has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The front camera has a 16MP sensor, while on the back a 16MP + 5MP dual camera is present.
The A30 also has a 4000mAh battery, which can charge quickly via a USB type-C connection. Moreover, the housing of ‘3D Glossy Plastic’, which is probably the same material is already known from the Galaxy A7 from 2018. That is a visually beautiful material, which still feels less premium than the glass-and-metal of, for example, the Galaxy A8.
Galaxy A50
The most expensive of these trio phones is clearly the Galaxy A50. Like the A30, the A50 has a 6.4 inch AMOLED screen with an FHD + resolution. In this screen is also the fingerprint sensor ingrained – a bit like on the Galaxy S10, but this is not an ultrasonic scanner. The processor is Samsung’s newer Exynos 9610. In addition, the A50 comes with 4GB of RAM as standard and 64GB of storage, and there would also be a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
We see our own information – that the Galaxy A50 has a 4000mAh battery – also confirmed. The A50 has a triple camera at the rear, with a 25MP sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. The front camera has a 25MP. The Galaxy A50 is exactly the same size as the A30, and a few millimeters higher – and narrower – than the A10. But all three models are big phones.
The A50 seems to be a kind of successor/replacement of the current Galaxy A7, with comparable cameras and build quality, but a larger screen, faster hardware, and more battery. That Samsung for many new A-devices sticks to the ‘3D plastic’ of the A7 surprised us a bit. In recent years, Samsung with the series just a more premium road beaten, where the Galaxy A8 and A9 from 2018 good examples of. These three devices are expected to launch in India first before being offered for the global market.
