Samsung launched a portable projector called Samsung Freestyle at CES 2022, with a peculiar barrel shape, this 1080p projector will be pre-ordered today at a price of 899 US dollars (approximately 5726 yuan) RMB).
According to Samsung, more important than the spec sheet is that the Freestyle projector is highly portable, has a unique rotating housing that can be rotated 180 degrees, integrated speakers, and voice control. The rotating design allows it to be projected on walls and ceilings without being supported by other objects.
This 0.83 kg projector can produce 30 to 100 inches of auto-focus and auto-leveling images (brightness unknown). The translucent lens cover can be used to create “dynamic lighting” that can be synchronized with the audio being played. It also has a 360-degree sound field speaker, and a far-field microphone array for voice control, which can be switched by a switch, as well as an HDMI and a USB-C interface.
The optional accessories for the projector include a waterproof box, USB-C battery pack, and a base, which can be screwed to a standard E26 bulb socket for power supply.
Samsung said that pre-orders for the projector will start in the United States on January 4 and will enter other markets “in the next few months.”
