New Soc officially. Samsung officially announced its latest SoC (System-on-a-chip) Exynos 9810, which will be the successor to the 8895, currently used in the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8. The new chip, like its predecessor, to be in FinFET 10-nanometer lithography, although more refined.
The company has announced that the new SoC will come to the Exynos 9 series. It has a third-generation Samsung CPU core, the Exynos 8895 works with the Mali-G71 GPU. The new 9th series is likely to receive improved Mali-G72 graphics. Extended version, which can simply mean more cores.
Exynos 9810 will have a Cat modem. 18 Gigabit 6CA LTE offering the maximum data rate of 1.2 Gbps. This is 200 Mbps better than the Exynos 8895. The exact specifications of the Samsung 9810 will be announced shortly and the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 current basement is up to 1Gbps bandwidth.
Recently rumors have surfaced that the Exynos 9810 will go to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus devices, whose presentation is expected in the first quarter of next year. Its rival will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, also expected early next year. It is possible that the next Galaxy S will be available in versions with Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845. This type of practice would not be the case with Samsung.
Samsung’s new smartphones are expected to be announced in January 2018 but, so far, the South Korean company has not yet confirmed whether Exynos 9810 will be the processor of that launch.
