Samsung is developing a flip-type folding screen smartphone, which was released in the first quarter of 2020, with a folding and curved 6.7-inch screen. According to reports, the device’s external screen will use a 1-inch screen, emphasizing portability.
Now, the Digitimes Electronic Times confirms that the device is expected to be released in the first half of 2020, and it is said that Samsung will begin purchasing components in November this year.
Digitimes obtains information from component suppliers, especially hinge manufacturers, most of whom are located in Taiwan and play an important role in creating a new generation of folding-screen phones.
Foreign media reported that the larger size of the Samsung Galaxy Fold will also be re-released this summer.
