Reynolds American plans to expand production at its operations center in Tobaccoville, USA, with an expected 300 new jobs. Designed to support the development of its nicotine bag brand Velo Plus. Emily Weeks, the company’s senior corporate communications manager, confirmed this.
Borgia Walker, senior vice president of human resources and inclusion at Reynolds American, said the new jobs will include local manufacturing and national trade marketing positions.
The Tobaccoville plant will begin operations in the fall of 2024. According to Reynolds American, they hired more than 500 positions in 2024, the vast majority of which are “directly related to our expanding portfolio of smoke-free products… And make our sales team more competitive in the market.”
Reynolds American had planned to cut 350 manufacturing jobs by 2024 as three of its plants have relocated.
