LeEco only recently presented to us it latest flagship, Le Pro 3, a “beast” made out of metal, with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, with no 3.5mm headphone jack (like iPhone 7/Plus), with the company saying that you can use the USB Type-C instead since by this way you have a much better sound boosted by the CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology. Le Pro will have till 6GB of Ram and not 8GB as it was mentioned before and from us.
Design
The LeEco Le Pro 3 features a all-metal body (98% metal) configuration, with a 2μm ultra high polished finish created through 58 minutes of CNC machining and 36 complex steps. This whole procedure gives LeEco Le pro 3 a really more refined look. Equipped with a 5.5″ display with 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, is covered in 2.5D arc glass with In-Cell touch tech. The LeEco Le Pro 3 will be available in four colors force gold, rose gold, silver and grey. A design peculiarity of the new LeEco is the hidden logo “feature”. It is a LeEco stylized touch home button which lights up when pressed. The dimensions of the LeEco Le Pro 3 are 151.4 x 73.9 x 7.5 mm and weights 175 grams.
Hardware
We already knew and have said that we expect the latest Snapdragon to feature the mobile. And as it was suggested, the LeEco Le Pro 3 will be the second smartphone launched on the market with the latest Qualcomm Snapradon 821 (the first was the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the third was announced today – Xiaomi Mi Note 2). The CPU will be clocked at 2.35Ghz, featuring a Adreno 530 GPU who will be running at 653MHz. The company for some really strange has made 4 versions of the same model, two “normal” and two Zhang Yimou special.
Normal versions:
4GB of RAM + 32GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0);
6GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0);
Special editions:
4GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0);
6GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0);
The Zhang Yimou special editions will differ from the “normal” edition in the presence of a image of the movie ‘The Great Wall’ with Matt Damon on the back of the device (picture above). All the versions lack a Micro SD slot.
Features
The LeEco Le Pro 3 features as main camera a 16MP with Sony IMX298 image sensor and an aperture of f/2.0 and with no OIS. The lens of the camera are made of sapphire and it’s composed from 6 elements. The camera also features PDAF (0.1s fast focusing), HDR, Increased Sharpness, Smart Beauty Mode and 4K video recording at 30fps. Slow-motion videos will be 720p @ 120fps. The front camera is a 8MP f/2.2 camera with 1.4μm big pixels (a number really good in low-light situations) and a 76.5° wide view angle. As we have said from the beginning, the LeEco Le Pro 3 doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead it uses the USB-Type-C port supported by the CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology. This feature helped by the installed Dolby Atmos, can give a very good quality of audio. LeEco Le Pro 3 supports dual-SIM with dual standby 4G+ networks, at a maximum download speed of 600Mbps. For connectivity, features dual-band dual-antenna MIMO Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) connection with speeds up to 866Mbps, NFC, GPS and bluetooth v4.2. For European customers, the mobile supports B20 at 4G.
Battery
LeEco’s Le Pro 3 features a 4070mAh battery. Despite that, the mobile remains slim with only 7.5mm diameter, that’s really amazing since and other devices that have the same battery capacity can’t get below 7.9mm (i.e. Huawei Mate 8). Le Pro 3’s battery also features 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and it can charge up to 50% in half an hour.
Conclusion
LeEco Le Pro 3 is for sure the big competitor Xiaomi Mi5S. LeEco comes with some pretty good specs and if we add now the really low price that we found at eFox, I believe will sell a lot. But despite the fact the we found the lowest price on the market, we have reduced it even more for our readers. So, if you use the coupon LP3G5, the final price will fall to 319€! Is that a really bargain or not!?
