Now, RedmiBook has brought the pioneering work in 2021, and it is also the first high-end notebook product in RedmiBook’s history RedmiBook Pro 15. It is also the brand’s first notebook computer that is difficult to be complained about by players!
1. Top 3K screen: The screen of RedmiBook Pro 15 is the strongest notebook at the price of 5,000 yuan. The parameters of 90Hz refresh rate, 3200*2000 resolution and 100% sRGB are sufficient to illustrate this point.
Some students may think that the 90Hz high refresh rate screen is not very useful for non-gaming notebooks. Then you can try to adjust the refresh rate of the computer monitor to 30Hz to try and see what kind of experience it will have!
In fact, a higher screen refresh rate allows you to get a smoother operating experience, and 90Hz is not too much for RedmiBook Pro 15.
2. Shell: The shell of RedmiBook Pro 15 is made with micron-level CNC integrated precision carving technology, which brings a stronger and more textured body.
3. Full-blooded GeForce MX450 is unique: GeForce MX150 to GeForce MX350 is based on the ancient Pascal architecture, and the revolutionary Turing architecture has only been used since GeForce MX450.
We all know that under the same specifications, the performance of the Turing architecture is more than 16% stronger than that of Pascal. Now the MX450 has increased the number of stream processors from 384 of the MX250 to 896, and the performance improvement can be described as an upside-down.
With the addition of GeForce MX450, RedmiBook Pro 15 is not only limited to gaming online games such as LOL in terms of gaming and entertainment, even the latest 3A masterpieces can be taken early.
4. 3200MHz dual-channel memory and KIOXIA NVMe SSD: Memory and SSD are also places that RedmiBook often ignores (or for cost control reasons). Now RedmiBook Pro 15 can be considered complete.
Design & Appearance
RedmiBook Pro 15 is the first RedmiBook built with micron-level CNC integrated precision carving. The entire A-side and C side with side walls are all carved from a single piece of the metal ingot. In addition, there is a ceramic sandblasting metal anodic oxidation process on the surface of the fuselage, so the notebook feels delicate to the touch. The 15.6-inch IPS screen, but the ratio is 16:10, can display more content vertically and improve office efficiency.
The screen has a resolution of up to 3200*2000, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a 100% sRGB colour gamut. It is the best screen in the 5,000 yuan-level thin and light notebook. Traditional RedmiBook keyboard, full-size keyboard with integrated moulding design, humanized layout, 19.5mm key pitch standard, 1.5mm comfortable rebound keystroke.
he bottom is almost the same as the enhanced version of Mi Notebook Pro 15, with a certification sticker in the middle and a row of heat dissipation grids on it. There is an HDMI, two Type-C and a USB 3.0 interface on the left.
The Type-C interface near the shaft is the charging port of the notebook, and can also provide data transmission and video output functions. The two other Type-Cs both support the BC1.2 fast charge function, which can charge other smart devices. There are a USB 2.0 interface and a 3.5mm headset all-in-one interface on the right side of the notebook.
This is the first time that the RedmiBook series uses a 100W PD charging power adapter, which supports 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V3A, 15V3A, 20V5A output standards, the maximum output power can reach 100W and supports 100-240V wide voltage input.
In addition to charging laptops, this charging head can also provide fast charging for mobile phones. The charging power of 15V3A is far stronger than most current mobile phone chargers. If your mobile phone supports 40W fast charging, you can use this directly. You don’t need to spend more than 100 yuan to buy an extra fast charging head for your phone, especially when you go out.
Unscrew the 8 screws on the D side to easily remove the bottom cover. We can see that the motherboard only occupies a small area in the upper right corner. The heat dissipation system is a single fan and dual heat pipe design, and the heat pipe and heat sink are all made of copper. In fact, there is still space inside the notebook designed as a dual-fan cooling system.
The memory is soldered to the motherboard and protected by a metal shield. The SSD and USB ports in the lower right corner also have metal shields. The lithium battery has a capacity of 70Wh, which is considered a large capacity in thin and light notebooks.
The appearance after removing the metal protective cover. Intel AX201 Wi-Fi6 wireless network card, the highest rate is 2400Mbps, and it also has a built-in Bluetooth 5.1 module. 16GB of dual-channel Micron DDR4 3200MHz memory.
This Kioxia NMVe SSD is very strange. There is only one DIE on the front and back. In fact, the main control, NAND and DRAM cache are all integrated.
The model of SSD is KBG40ZNV512G, the reading speed can reach 2000MB/s+, the writing can exceed 1000MB/s.

It is measured that at a resolution of 1920×1080, RedmiBook Pro 15 can run at a frame rate of 92FPS in medium image quality; while in high image quality, it also has a frame rate of 75FPS. There is no problem with this fluency in the battle.
It can be seen that the game performance of the RedmiBook Pro 15 is about 40% stronger than that of the Mi Notebook Pro, and it is nearly 50% stronger than the Vega 8 core of the Ryzen 7 4800H.
6. Temperature and battery life test: PCMark 10 has a 40W heat dissipation capacity and a battery life of 8 hours 44 minutes
1. CPU baking machine test
Use AIDA64 FPU for the baking machine test, the room temperature is 26 degrees during the test, and the test is carried out in high-energy mode.
At the beginning of the baking machine, the power consumption of the i5-11300H was as high as 45W, but it will gradually decrease afterwards, and finally stabilized at around 29W. This is still the case even if you continue to bake for 15 minutes. The temperature of the processor during the baking machine is 84 degrees, and the full-core frequency is 2.8GHz.
2. GPU baking Test
RedmiBook Pro 15 has a built-in Georce MX450 discrete graphics card with full blood, and the TDP is a standard 28W. We use the FurMark baking machine for 18 minutes, and we can see that the GPU occupancy rate has been maintained at 100%, and the core frequency is also 1485MHz. From the performance here, we can also see that it is full of blood MX450. The temperature of the baking machine is not very high at 68 degrees.
3. Double bake test
Using FurMark to fully load the CPU and GPU at the same time, we will find a phenomenon. In order to control the temperature, RedmiBook Pro 15 will limit the power consumption of the CPU but still keep the GPU full.
After a one-hour double-bake test, the power consumption of the i5-11300H is only 14W, and the temperature is only 64 degrees on time; the GeForce MX450 still maintains the state of the single-bake, the GPU occupancy rate is 100%, and the frequency is 1455MHz. The core temperature is 66 degrees.
From here, we can also see that the heat dissipation capacity of RedmiBook Pro 15 is about 40W.
4. Endurance test
The RedmiBook Pro 15 notebook has a built-in high-capacity lithium battery with a capacity of 70Wh. We use PCMark 10 to actually test the battery life of the notebook.
The selected scene for the test is a modern office with PCMark 10, the power mode is “energy-saving mode”, all other processes are closed during the test, the network connection is closed, and the screen brightness is adjusted to 50%.
In the PCMark 10 modern office scenario, the battery life test score is 8 hours and 44 minutes. Compared with today’s thin and light notebooks, this score is not very outstanding, but it is enough to support the needs of a day of mobile office battery life.

Verdict
If the previous RedmiBook avoids hitting the higher-end Xiaomi notebooks, there will always be some defects or regrets of this kind. RedmiBook Pro 15 is the first bucket notebook that gets rid of all constraints and meets the needs of users. It can be called the history of the RedmiBook. The milestone of the previous year.
Compared with Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15, RedmiBook Pro 15 does not fall short in all aspects (at least for now). The same is a 100% sRGB colour gamut, but RedmiBook Pro 15 has a high refresh rate of 90Hz and an ultra-high resolution of 3200*2000. For the same NVMe SSD, Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 uses Intel 660P with QLC particles, and RedmiBook Pro 15 is Kioxia 512GB SSD with TLC particles. Of course, the read and write performance is better.
In addition, the AX201 Wi-Fi 6 network card and the full-blooded MX 450 discrete graphics card are also stronger than the Mi Notebook Pro 15.
1. 35W i5-11300H processor: It can actually continuously output power consumption of 28W, which is nearly 50% stronger than the i7-10510U of the Mi Notebook Pro, but slightly weaker than the i7-1185G7 of the Prestige 14.
The main reason is that the Mi Notebook Pro locks the CPU power consumption at 15W, and there is no short-term chicken blood power consumption; Prestige 14 has 45W chicken blood power consumption, which has excellent results in some test items, but the actual performance is not as stable as 28W. i5-11300H.
2. Heat dissipation capacity: After the actual measurement, RedmiBook Pro 15 has a heat dissipation capacity of 40W, and both CPU and GPU can maintain a power consumption of 28W at a very low temperature during single baking. However, in the double-bake, the GPU performance will be guaranteed to be at a full blood state of 28W, but the CPU power consumption will be reduced to about 14W.
This is also well understood. When the GPU and CPU are under high load at the same time, RedmiBook Pro 15 will judge that the notebook is the in-game mode at this time, and it is only natural to allocate more power consumption to the GPU.
Although the 40W heat dissipation capacity is already a leader in thin and light notebooks, after disassembly, we found that there is still enough space inside the RedmiBook Pro 15 to accommodate the dual-fan cooling system. We hope that the next generation of products can make some corresponding improvements.
3. Battery life: The 70W lithium polymer battery of the RedmiBook Pro 15 is much higher in capacity than most thin and light notebooks, but at the moment when the battery life is more than ten hours, this notebook PCMark 10 “only” measured 8 hours 44 minutes, it seems a bit unreasonable.
But we also did another test, that is, when the power is unplugged, the CineBench R15 multi-thread score of RedmiBook Pro 15 is as high as 846cb, reaching 90% of the performance when plugged in. Now everyone should be able to understand the battery life of the RedmiBook Pro 15!
Some students may think that the 4-core 8-thread processor of RedmiBook Pro 15 is not enough for the new generation of the Ryzen 5000. Let’s talk about gaming performance first. MX450 alone is definitely better than Vega 8-core. So will i5-11300H become the bottleneck of MX450?
This kind of thinking makes people feel incredible. The performance of the i5-11300H is not inferior to that of the i7-7700K processor. I believe no one will think that the i7-7700K can’t bring an entry-level standalone display!
As a thin and light notebook, in addition to games, there is no problem with the i7-7700K-level i5-11300H processor meeting the needs of the mobile office. If there are students who are too entangled in the i5-11300H core number is not enough, it should not be, because the positioning of the RedmiBook Pro 15 is light gaming and a mobile office!
The RedmiBook Pro 15 standalone version is 5499 yuan, and it is difficult to find a better price than it at the 5000 yuan level. At present, this notebook is available for appointment on major e-commerce platforms, and it will be officially launched at 0:00 on March 15.
