It is already reliably known that on August 29 in China, the Xiaomi-owned Redmi brand will hold an event where it will introduce Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones, as well as its first 70-inch Redmi TV smart TV. Now the company has announced that it will delight its fans with another new gadget, it will be an improved version of the RedmiBook 14 laptop.
According to an advertising poster posted on the Weibo social network, the manufacturer is preparing a top-end version of the laptop that will be equipped with a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. Despite the fact that the first laptops based on these chips were already announced (MSI and Dell did it a few days ago), Redmi is confident that the updated RedmiBook 14 will be the first ultrabook on the market with the 10th generation Intel Core i7.
This year, the Redmi brand has already released several variations of the RedmiBook 14 laptop. In May, the company introduced its first laptop with 8th generation Intel Core processors. In its maximum configuration, the device boasted a Core i7-8565U processor, 8GB of DDR4-2400 RAM, a discrete GeForce MX250 graphics card and 512GB of a solid-state drive.
Presumably, the RedmiBook 14 Enhanced Edition will receive the recently announced Intel processor Comet Lake-U, made according to the norms of the 14-nm process technology. In the top version (Core i7 10710U), it has 6 processing cores and supports 12 instruction streams. New color options for the laptop are also reported.
