The Chinese company Xiaomi, ie its subbrand Redmi, has already presented its Redmi Note 9 line. But models from that line come with 4G support, while Redmi will soon introduce the Redmi Note 9 5G series. Information about the possible launch date of this series is now appearing.
The source of the leak is informant Abhishek Yadav. According to its publication, the Redmi Note 9 5G series phones will be launched in China next Tuesday, more specifically on November 24. But this date has not yet been officially confirmed.
As for prices, the standard model would start at 999 yuan (about $152). Meanwhile, the Pro model can start from 1499 yuan (about $228). The mentioned prices are considering the Chinese market. If Redmi Note 9 5G series go to the international market, slightly higher prices are expected.
They would debut globally as Redmi Note 10 5G
A terminal of this series has received a certification indicating its launch on the global market. As indicated by the filtering Mukul Sharma, the model number contained in the database of the entity certifier is IMDA M2007J22G.
Typically, Xiaomi model numbers end with a suffix “C” (Chinese variant) or “G” (global variant). So the model number M2007J22G suggests that it could be a global variant of the Chinese Note 9 5G.
Specifications
The next series of Redmi smartphones has received approval from the TENAA authority in China. A recent leak revealed that the Redmi Note 9 5G will be powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 800U chipset. On the other hand, the Note 9 Pro 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G.
The device specifications were recently leaked. It will have a 6.53-inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution and a hole in the upper left corner. It will use the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC alongside 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM. It would be offered in options with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of storage.
For photography, Redmi Note 9 5G series will have a 48MP quad-camera system and a 13MP front camera. Other specs include dual 5G (SA / NSA), 5000mAh battery with 22.5W charge, and MIUI 12.
