As you know, on August 29, Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones. These will be the first devices under the Redmi brand with a Quad rear camera. The older model will receive the main 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor.
Today, Lu Weibing has confirmed on its Weibo account that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be launch with the Helio G90T chip which overall performance is worse than Kirin 810 but better than Snapdragon 710 and there are also many consumers worried about whether the 12nm process of MediaTek G90T will have the problem of “cannot suppress fever”.
Another thing to look forward to when launching the Redmi Note 8 Pro is the Liquid Cooling feature, Yes, it will come with liquid cooling support, enabling users to play games for a longer duration without worrying about the heating issues. This makes sense given that the phone is powered by a gaming-centric chipset.
In addition, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro model will have a 4500mAh battery to give life and drain to the consumption that this chipset will have. Never before Xiaomi had mounted on a Redmi smartphone these two features which suggest the shortcomings of the Mediatek chipset.
A few days ago, a render from the video teaser appeared on the Weibo social network, showing a visualization of the back of the smartphone in dark green. Yesterday this color rendition can be seen in the photograph.
The attractive dark green version of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is very similar to the Redmi K20 / K20 Pro smartphone, including in texture. The rich color is accented in the center of the back cover, and closer to the curved edges it becomes turquoise or, rather, malachite.
At the top is a vertical camera module with three sensors. A fingerprint scanner is located on the same ledge below – a controversial decision, given that oily spots on the lens radically spoil the quality of images. To the right under the LED flash is the fourth camera sensor.
As we mentioned above that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be based on the MediaTek Helio G90T chip with NFC support, an infrared emitter and, importantly, fast charging up to 18 watts is supported.
The simpler Redmi Note 8 model is also equipped with a four-component camera, but, as expected, already with a 48-megapixel leading sensor. Rumors indicate an Helio G90 processor and a 4000mAh battery. Both smartphones are likely to receive the same 6.3 “drip-cut IPS display as in previous models.
On August 29, in addition to launching the Redmi Note 8 series, the company will also remove the cover from its first Redmi TV.
