Redmi, a Chinese company owned by Xiaomi, is ready to launch a very interesting new low-cost smartphone: Note 8. The CEO is the one who makes the announcement directly on his Weibo account, the most used social network in China, publishing a post in which he announced that he would release “big” news at 10:00 this morning, so stay tuned, the words ” Note8Android” indicate that the “big” news will be about Redmi Note 8.
Yesterday, Lu Weibing also has summed up some features of the device: it will have a longer battery life, smartphone frames will be reduced and images taken they will be better.
This last aspect is the most interesting: Note 8 should be among the first devices to mount the new 64MP photographic sensor made by Samsung. A real “war” to the sound of Megapixel that is being played among smartphone manufacturers. In a few months, we went from sensors with a maximum of 20MP, to lenses with 64MP. And by the end of the year, the first 108MP camera is expected.
The Redmi Note 8 will be a medium-range smartphone featuring a very interesting technical datasheet. It is expected soon and from the rumors released so far seems to promise very well. Onboard, there should be a MediaTek’s latest gaming chipset, namely Helio G90T supported by at least 4-6GB of RAM and 64-128GB of internal memory.
The screen will be 6.2 inches with FullHD + resolution. The CEO of Redmi assured that the thickness of the frames will be even smaller to leave more space for the display and optimize the size of the device.
The photographic sector is the most interesting part of the smartphone. Some images published on Weibo have made official the presence of a 64MP sensor supported by artificial intelligence to improve image quality. Furthermore, the Note 8 should have as many as four photosensors: in addition to the 64MP one, there will be room for a telephoto lens, a wide-angle camera and a ToF sensor for depth of field.
Following the words of the CEO of Xiaomi, the autonomy of the Redmi Note 8 will be better than that of its predecessor. The Redmi Note 7 was equipped with a 4000mAh battery, so it is to be expected that the Note 8 has a larger battery 5000mAh?. The fingerprint reader should be located below the display.
Redmi organized an event for August 29th. The protagonist should be the first smart TV produced by the Chinese company, but there could also be space for Redmi Note 8.
