Xiaomi will be launching its first 2018 smartphone in India on Feb. 14. Even though the company has not launched the Redmi Note 5 smartphone in any market, the source page of the Mi.com’s Feb. 14 launch event suggests that it will be debuting the Redmi Note 5 smartphone. A new teaser released by Redmi India’s Twitter account shows that the handset will be exclusively available for buying through Flipkart.
A new teaser of the upcoming Redmi phone shows that it is advertised as an “all-rounder” smartphone. The teaser states that the Redmi Note 5’s one of the main features will be its 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display. It will be a larger-sized screen that will be offering high pixel density.
Recent reports have claimed the Redmi 5 or Redmi 5 Plus that had debuted in china in December 2018 will be respectively rebranded as Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Prime in India. However, the image of the phone seen above suggests that it could be a completely different phone.

The Redmi Note 5 is speculated to feature a 5.99-inch FHD+ resolution display. The Snapdragon 636 chipset may fuel the phablet along with 4 GB of RAM. It come with a native storage of 64 GB. Its rear may come equipped with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. Like other Redmi Note phones, it is also rumored to house a huge battery.
