After months of speculation, Xiaomi unveiled its first 2018 smartphones in India. The Redmi Note 5 was introduced as a rebranded edition of the Redmi 5 Plus. India is the first market to receive the Redmi 5 Pro smartphone that is equipped with dual rear cameras. Xiaomi has released some camera samples that were shot using the Redmi Note 5 Pro to reveal its photography prowess.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is blessed with an f/2.2 aperture 12-megapixel primary Sony IMX486 sensor that is coupled by a 5-megapixel secondary Samsung sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The dual camera setup will allow users to snap amazing bokeh effect photos by focusing on the foreground and blurring the background. The AI based deep learning algorithm also comes into action to ensure that the dual rear cameras are able to snap impressive bokeh effect shots.’
As it can be seen in the official camera samples, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is able to capture images with realistic colors and rich details. The bokeh effect is quite evident in the No Parking Zone image. These images are devoid of oversaturated colors. Even in low-light conditions, the dual camera setup is able to perform quite well, but the noise is noticeable after zooming on the image.
The smartphone is dubbed as a Camera Beast by the company as it also features a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 selfie camera that can also capture amazing selfie shots even in dim-light conditions. Xiaomi is also expected to release camera samples of the front-facing camera in the near future.
