Earlier in this month, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones alongside the 55-inch Mi TV 4 in India. On Thursday, the Chinese manufacturer had carried out the first sales of all the three devices. The Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro has met with stupendous response in the country as their 300,000 units were sold out in less than 3 minutes in the first sale.
Xiaomi Global VP and Managing Director for India, Manu Kumar Jain expressed the positive reception for the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro by tweeting that the company sold more than 1 lac phones in 1 minute and this way it managed to sell over 3 lacs Note 5 and Note 5 Pro units within 3 minutes. He boasted about the Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro sales by saying it was the biggest flash sale ever in India.
The next sale of the Redmi Note 5 duo will be carried out on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi app on Feb. 28. The 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variants of the Note 5 are respectively priced at Rs. 9,999 ($154) and Rs. 11,999 ($185) in the country whereas the 4 GB RAM and 6 GB RAM editions of the Note 5 Pro respectively cost Rs. 13,999 ($216) and Rs. 16,999 ($262)
As far as the Xiaomi Mi TV 4, Jain claimed that it was also sold in 10 seconds. The next sale of the Mi TV 5 will take place o Feb. 27. It carries a price tag of Rs 39,999 ($617)
