It is reported that the Redmi Note 12 series will be launched in India on January 5. The company has confirmed that it will launch three smartphones in its latest lineup, including the Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G, which is the highest-end phone and will feature a 200MP main camera sensor. In addition, there is the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, positioned between the standard and Pro+ models.
Xiaomi has now confirmed yet another new feature for its upcoming Redmi Note 12 series of devices. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera sensor. The phone will also support OIS optical image stabilization.
Ahead of the launch event, Xiaomi India executives have begun showing off the camera samples of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, claiming that “the main camera of the device will help capture dynamic and appealing images through a perfect combination of software and hardware tools.” The sensor also captures more light and better detail. Xiaomi also claims that the sensor of Note 12 Pro will be one of the best in the segment when it comes to color reproduction.
The Chinese version oh this phone has been on the market before, using a 6.67-inch Full HD+ resolution AMOLED display. The screen has flat edges and a centered punch hole. It also offers a peak brightness of 900 nits.
Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, equipped with a 5000mAh battery, and supports 67W fast charging. The device also runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G rear camera module has three sensors. It will be equipped with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. While its front camera is 16MP for selfies and video calls.
