This evening marked the official launch of the Redmi K70 Pro during the Redmi 10th Anniversary and K70 series mobile phone new product launch event. It is hailed as the “king of all-scenario performance.” IGeekPhone provided the following pricing details:
- The 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at 3,299 yuan ($465)
- The 16GB + 256GB variant is priced at 3,599 yuan ($499)
- The 16GB + 512GB variant is priced at 3,899 yuan ($549)
- The 24GB + 1TB variant is priced at 4,399 yuan ($619)
The Redmi K70 Pro features a new high-gloss metal middle frame, eliminates the screen bracket design, and incorporates high-transparent glass Deco for the lens module. It is available in three colors: Black Feather, Qingxue, and Bamboo Moon Blue, and boasts a 6.67-inch screen.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the Redmi K70 Pro achieves a comprehensive performance score exceeding 2.24 million. It adopts a new generation of Redmi’s self-developed “ice cooling” system, running Xiaomi’s ThePaper OS. With Fury Engine 3.0 and AI performance scheduling, AI control, and AI rendering, it can upscale “Genshin Impact” from 720P to 2K at 90 frames per second.
Xiaomi officially compared the Redmi K70 Pro to its competitor, iQOO 12 Pro, asserting lower power consumption, higher brightness, and superior heat dissipation.
In terms of the screen, the Redmi K70 Pro features a “second-generation high-end 2K Chinese screen” with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits, 2160Hz instant touch, and wet-hand touch.
The device introduces “Xiaomi Qingshan Eye Protection,” described as the “medical and industrial integration of scientific eye protection.” It supports 3840Hz 2K screen PWM dimming, optimizing software to alleviate dry eyes, and utilizes a new generation of Huaxing C8 luminescent material.
Regarding imaging, the Redmi K70 Pro debuts the Light Hunter 800 (Howey OV16A1Q) main camera with optical image stabilization. This 1/1.55-inch 50MP sensor features a 2.0μm pixel size and a 13.2EV dynamic range.
The device also features a 12MP ultra-wide-angle (OmniVision OV13B10) + 50MP Light Hunter 400 portrait telephoto (OmniVision OV50D40), a front-facing 16MP (OmniVision OV16A1Q) centered punch-hole lens, supporting 30 continuous shots in 1 second. For the first time, Redmi supports the Xiaomi Night Owl algorithm.
In other aspects, the Redmi K70 Pro supports a 5000mAh battery + 120W fast charging, featuring a self-developed fast charging chip ThePaper P2 + self-developed power management chip ThePaper G1. It includes enhancements for cellular networks, Wi-Fi signals, NFC, and Bluetooth audio sharing, among others.
