Recently, both OnePlus Ace 2 and Redmi K60 have maintained high popularity. These two products have similar positioning and compete with each other in terms of pricing. If you are wondering how to choose between these two products, we will compare their core performance selling points and help you make a decision based on actual measurements.
Hardware Comparison
Both OnePlus Ace 2 and Redmi K60 are equipped with the same performance combination of the first-generation Snapdragon 8+ processor, enhanced LPDDR5 RAM, and overclocked UFS 3.1 storage. However, there is a difference in the processor configuration. The OnePlus Ace 2 features the full-blooded version of the first-generation Snapdragon 8+, while the Redmi K60 utilizes a down-clocked version.
In terms of specifications, the key difference lies in the core frequency. The full-blooded version of the first-generation Snapdragon 8+ in the OnePlus Ace 2 has approximately 0.2GHz higher frequencies for the ultra-large core, large core, and energy-efficient core compared to the down-clocked version in the Redmi K60.
Both products have also focused on the cooling systems of their devices. The OnePlus Ace 2 incorporates three major heat dissipation technologies: an eight-channel full-through VC with an area of 5177 mm², phase-change graphene with a heat dissipation area of 6355 mm², and a new generation of ultra-high-performance graphite. On the other hand, the Redmi K60 adopts a VC liquid cooling solution with a 5000mm² area, a three-dimensional composite heat dissipation structure, and 6933mm² high-power graphite, resulting in a 15% increase in thermal conductivity.
Finally, let’s consider the performance optimization features of the two products. The OnePlus Ace 2 boasts three exclusive self-developed technologies: the super-frame super-picture engine, HyperBoost2.0 game stabilization engine, and game cloud computing private network, providing the ultimate gaming experience with high frame rates, stable frames, high image quality, and low latency.
The Redmi K60 features the WILDBOOST violent engine, which maintains high frame rates, image quality, and brightness during gameplay.
Performance Comparison
Now, let’s compare the actual performance levels of the two products based on benchmark scores. Here are the running scores:
OnePlus Ace 2: AnTuTu running score of 113,754 points and 3DMark Wild Life EXTREME running score of 2778 points.
Redmi K60: AnTuTu running score of 108,269 points and 3DMark Wild Life EXTREME running score of 2747 points.
It is evident that the OnePlus Ace 2, with its full-blooded version of the first-generation Snapdragon 8+, offers significant advantages in terms of CPU and GPU performance over the down-clocked version found in the Redmi K60. These advantages cannot be compensated for by later software performance optimizations.
In terms of game testing, we evaluated the performance of both devices in the games “Glory of the King” and “Yuan Shen.” The tests were conducted in the same indoor environment and network conditions. Here are the results:
“Glory of the King”: Both devices performed well, running at full frame rates throughout the testing process, which is expected for devices equipped with the first-generation Snapdragon 8+.
“Yuan Shen”: There were differences in performance between the two phones. The OnePlus Ace 2 achieved an average frame rate of 59.6 frames with a relatively smooth and stable frame rate curve. The fluctuations observed were due to scene loading. The Redmi K60 had an average frame rate of 57.3 frames, and there was an obvious frame lock in the middle and late stages of the game. It is clear that the OnePlus Ace 2, through its collaboration with “Yuan Shen,” has significantly improved the game experience. However, Redmi’s self-developed intelligent frame stabilization still has room for improvement.
We also tested the back temperature of the two devices after 30 minutes of “Yuan Shen” gameplay. The highest temperature recorded on the back of the OnePlus Ace 2 was 43.4°C, while the highest temperature on the back of the Redmi K60 was 46.6°C. The difference of 3.2°C indicates that the heat dissipation system of the OnePlus Ace 2 is superior.

Verdict
Based on the hardware parameters and measured data, it is clear that the OnePlus Ace 2 offers better performance than the Redmi K60. If you prioritize gaming experience when making a purchase, we recommend opting for the 12GB RAM version or higher. The starting price of the OnePlus Ace 2 12GB+256GB version is 2,799 yuan, which is 200 yuan cheaper than the equivalent version of the Redmi K60. Therefore, if you have a budget of 3,000 yuan for a gaming-focused product, the OnePlus Ace 2 would be a more suitable choice compared to the Redmi K60.
