When it comes to budget smartphones, there are plenty of options available in the market. Two models that have recently garnered attention are the Redmi K60 Pro and OnePlus Ace 2. While the presence of the Redmi K60 Pro may not be as strong as other models, its configuration is still quite impressive. On the other hand, the OnePlus Ace2 is a newly launched super cost-effective model with a lower price, but its comprehensive design is inferior to the Redmi K60 Pro.
When comparing the two models with the same storage version, there is a price difference of 1,000 yuan, with the Redmi K60 Pro being the more expensive option. However, the Redmi K60 Pro surpasses the OnePlus Ace2 in terms of performance, screen, camera, and charging capabilities, making it a more desirable choice for those with a higher budget.
Regarding display, the OnePlus Ace2 boasts a domestic Tianma 1.5K resolution curved screen that supports 1.07 billion colors and 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. However, the Redmi K60 Pro has a more robust screen with higher resolution, 12-bit, and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. This makes it an outstanding performer in appearance.
In terms of hardware, the OnePlus Ace2 features the Snapdragon 8+ processor, while the K60 Pro is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8GEN2 processor. The latter has significant advantages in terms of performance and power consumption. Both models have a VC with a hot board area of about 5000mm², making them relatively good in-game temperature control performance.
When it comes to cameras, the main difference between the two models is the primary camera. The OnePlus Ace2 features a 50-megapixel outsole primary camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor, which performs exceptionally well as a minor facelift of the 766. The K60 Pro, on the other hand, uses a 50-megapixel outsole primary camera with a Sony IMX800 sensor, which is the same model as Mi 13 and has a higher specification than the OnePlus Ace2. Many algorithms on Xiaomi’s imaging brain are also decentralized, improving imaging performance.
Both models have a 5000mAh battery, with the OnePlus Ace2 supporting 100W flash charging and the Redmi K60 Pro supporting 120W wired and 30W wireless charging. The K60 Pro also has self-developed battery management and charging chip experience, improving it overall.
While the Redmi K60 Pro may have a higher price tag, it offers superior performance, screen, camera, and charging capabilities compared to the OnePlus Ace 2. However, the OnePlus Ace2 has more honest workmanship, middle frame transition, and a more prominent hand feel, making it a better choice for users with a limited budget and pursuing higher cost performance. On the other hand, for users with a sufficient budget and a desire for higher configuration and experience, the K60 Pro is the better option.
