With the introduction of two new flagship processors, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and Dimensity 9000, expectations are growing for the next generation of new flagship phones.
Among them, the most attention is naturally focused on the cost-effective xiaomi and Redmi brands. Xiaomi mi 12 has been confirmed to be released this month, and the global debut of Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
As for Redmi K50, it’s likely to be two months away, but there have been a number of recent leaks.
At noon today, the well-known blogger @digital chat posted: “Next year is the generation of flagship models with Dimensity 9000 do not be surprised, this chip industry wind evaluation is better than snapdragon 8 Gen1.”
Judging from the comments, it is likely that the reference is to Redmi K50 Pro, the “big cup” model of Redmi K50 series.
At present, the core specifications of Redmi K50 series have been basically clear, and the three models will adopt different configurations respectively. Among them, Redmi K50 will be equipped with Mediatek’s sub-flagship Dimensity 7000 chip, which has better performance than the current most popular Snapdragon 870.
Redmi K50 Pro is powered by the powerful but cheaper Dimensity 9000, which is built with a 4nm process and has as much output as the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, though it may be a bit weaker in areas like image ISP.
