Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, has already announced a new Redmi K40 series next month, which he says will have what he says is probably the most expensive straight screen in the industry.
It is reported that Redmi K40 series will still bring two models with high and low specifications, namely Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro.
This morning, a source at digital chat revealed that both models of the Redmi K40 series feature OLED high refresh and Samsung’s latest E4 flexible screen.
The previous Mi 11 flagship phone featured an E4 OLED screen.
The Samsung E4 luminescence material can significantly increase the screen brightness to an unprecedented 1,500 nits, the global maximum brightness to 900nits, contrast, and power consumption compared to the previous E3 material.
The Mi 11 also earned A DisplayMate A+ rating for its new material, setting 13 new records, including the highest screen resolution, the highest OLED peak brightness, the highest color accuracy, the highest contrast, and the lowest screen reflectivity.
In addition to the use of new materials, it has been previously reported that the REDMI K40 will use a center hole solution with a 2.8mm forward aperture, which may be the smallest hole on the market.
With the help of these two technologies, the screen look and feel of REDMI K40 is bound to be significantly improved compared with the previous generation, which is worth looking forward to.
