Two new Redmi smartphones have been certified by the Chinese 3C authority. The model numbers of the two phones suggest that they are the upcoming top of the range Redmi K20 and K20 Pro that are scheduled for presentation on May 28th. The Redmi K20 3C certification revealed that 18W fast charge will be supported. On the other hand, the Redmi K20 Pro can count on a fast recharge up to 27W.
The model numbers M1903F11A, M1903F11T and M1903F11C shown in the image below belong to the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone, which indicates that three different variants will be available.
List 3C shows that the Pro model will be supplied with the MDY-10-EH charger which supports 27W fast charge. The Xiaomi Mi 9, which supports the support for a fast 27 W recharge, comes with the same accessory.
The model numbers M1903C3EE, M1903C3ET, and M1903C3EC that can be viewed under K20 Pro belong to the Redmi 7A entry level which has yet to be formalized. The complete specifications of Redmi 7A are known as it has already been certified by TENAA.
Anyway, going down again we find references to the K20. The less powerful brother is mentioned with its model numbers M1903F10A, M1903F10T, and M1903F10C. The K20 package will include an MDY-10-EC charger that supports 18 W fast charge.
Support for different charging speeds suggests that Redmi K20 and K20 Pro could be powered by different chipsets. According to some rumors, the Redmi K20 could be powered by the Snapdragon 730 mobile platform while the Pro version could arrive with Snapdragon 855 on board. Both are expected to arrive with displays without notches and with a pop-up camera.
In view of the launch date of May 28th, Redmi was busy confirming the functionality of the K20 and K20 Pro smartphones. The company recently revealed that the camera configuration will include the Sony IMX586 48MP sensor and will support for slow motion 960fps video footage. In addition, it will be equipped with a 4000mAh battery.
