after launching the Redmi 9 Power in India, a leak from the Renowned tech journalist Myriam Joire gives us the possibility of taking a first look at the global version of this device, which may be under the name of Redmi 9T.
Based on information shared in this anticipated unboxing, ** the Redmi 9T has been confirmed to be, in fact, a POCO M3 with a somewhat different name and aesthetic.
The main difference is found in the back, as the Redmi 9T leaves behind the large photographic module of the POCO model in favor of a smaller system, but that incorporates the same four 48MP, 8P, 2MP, and 2MP sensors.
The front does not change at all, and therefore we come across the same 6.53-inch LC display that dissolves in FHD +. The selfie camera is integrated in a waterdrop notch.
According to Joire, the centerpiece should be a Snapdragon 662 from Qualcomm, which is supported by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 6000mAh battery promises a long runtime. On the other hand, you have to do without NFC support. You can also find all the specs in the Poco M3.
It is not too clear that when and in which markets the Redmi 9T will appear. Since Xiaomi already seems to be sending copies to tech journalists, the smartphone should already be ready and a release shouldn’t be so far away. January 2021 should therefore be a realistic forecast.
