Last week, the Redmi 8A smartphone was introduced in India, which is priced from $92. In China, the smartphone should cost even less, its announcement at home is expected in the near future.
Today, the Redmi brand leader Lu Weibing hinted at an imminent release in China, although he did not directly name this model. He announced in the near future the Chinese smartphone market will receive a new Redmi phone with a 5000mAh battery.
Lu Weibing added in a post on Weibo that the device is an entry-level smartphone with attractive features such as a large screen, long battery life, a beautiful and slim design, a USB-C connector and much more. It is likely that Redmi will soon confirm the launch date of Redmi 8A for China in the coming days. Rumors are rife that the handset will be accompanied by Redmi 8 and Redmi 8 Pro smartphones.
Redmi 8A has a screen 6.22 inches of resolution HD + (1,440 x 720 pixels), one notch shaped raindrop and a rounded format 2.5D. Inside we find a Snapdragon 439 8-core processor, whose GPU is an Adreno 505. In combination, it offers two variants of 2GB of RAM along with 32GB of storage or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Its capacity can be expanded by a microSD of up to 512GB.
In the photographic section, we find a single camera on its back SONY IMX363 of 12MP and aperture of f / 1.9. In its front part and housed in the notch in the form of a drop of water it has an 8MP selfie camera.
Of rest, we are facing a terminal with P2i anti-splash coating, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, audio jack and FM radio. Its built-in system is MIUI 10 based on Android 9. Finally, its battery reaches 5000mAh, with support for fast charging of 18W. The Redmi 8A variants such as 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 2GB RAM + 32GB storage are respectively priced at Rs. 6999 and Rs. 6499 in India.
