Blogger Wisdom Pikachu has revealed that Redmi will bring a new 210-second charger this year, which will be the king of Redmi’s fast charge this year.
Redmi Note 12 Discovery was the first mass-produced version of the 210W-second charging technology to bring charging time into the single digits, with a 100 percent charge in just nine minutes.
Redmi 210W Second Charge technology uses a 3-charge IC architecture. The input terminal of 210W will be divided into 3 channels, with the voltage and current of each channel being 20V 3.5A, and then the voltage and current of each channel will be increased to 10V 7A by 3 charging IC, and 10V 21A by 3 merging channels. Finally, after the voltage division of double cell, the two cells will bear the charging voltage and current of 5V 21A respectively.
Three charging IC scattered arrangement, avoid heat concentration, can maximize the extension of high power charging time, at the same time the conversion efficiency up to 98.6%, a single peak power of 100W, the total power limit up to 300W.
On the battery side, Redmi has also been optimized and upgraded with a 10C high-rate dual-cell battery with a 2*2150mAh capacity and an input current of up to 21000mA per cell. The Cell Balace technology is also introduced between the two cells. When a difference in voltage/capacity between the two cells is detected, the internal balancing circuit is turned on to equalize it.
The charger also adopts advanced glue filling and heat soaking technology, so that the charger can work stably and high power for a longer time. The charging line is built with Xiaomi custom E-mark chip, which not only supports Xiaomi’s own 210W fast charge protocol identification, but also is compatible with PD and QC protocols.
