Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Qualcomm is also planning to launch an official overclocked 8+ Gen 2 due to the good performance of the 8 Gen 2. The Snapdragon 8 Gen3 flagship is expected to appear a little earlier than expected.
Few details are available about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. According to the exposed runs, the CPU performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will be 25% better than that of the Snapdragon 8 series SoC. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip scored 1,930 for single core and 6,236 for multi-core in early Geekbench tests.

Sources say the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will have a 1+5+2 core configuration, which is one more energy efficient core than the current 1+4+3. Thanks to the TSMC N4P process node, its energy efficiency is potentially 20 percent higher than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
