Just yesterday, we saw the brand unveil the Buds Q2 earphones in Pakistan. The Chinese company has now launched another interesting product in Malaysia. The Realme Watch 2 smartwatch has just made its entrance and is similar to an Apple Watch.
The Watch 2 is the successor to the company’s first smartwatch launched last year. Realme had previously launched the Watch S series with two models in tow, but this is the first to use a square design like the first generation watch.
In terms of specifications, the device packs a 1.4-inch touchscreen IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels. The display also has up to 600 nits of brightness. It comes with over a hundred fantastic watch faces. The wearable has a single button on the right side for capacitive functions. The entire watch weighs 38 grams and is also equipped with IP68 water/dust resistance.
The battery also comes in at 315mAh. Therefore, it has an autonomy of up to 12 days of use on a single charge depending on the style of use. The watch also supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
As for the software, the watch supports over 90 sports modes, a substantial upgrade from 14 on the previous model. Some of the sports modes onboard include outdoor walking, basketball, yoga, indoor walking, outdoor running, indoor running, dynamic cycling, hiking, cricket, rowing, strength training, and an elliptical machine. Other built-in features include sleep and stress monitoring, heart rate, and SpO2 monitors. The gadget also supports Smart AIoT control which allows the user to control different Realme smart devices and devices directly from the smartwatch.
In terms of price, Despite all the improvements, the new Realme Watch 2 costs about the same as the previous version (about $55). So far, the watches are presented only in Malaysia, and there is still no information about the release dates in other regions.
