After many teasers, Realme has finally launched the Realme GT Neo2T in China. This is a new variant of the GT Neo2 that was launched not long ago, but uses MediaTek’s processor, and has a shortened battery and a slightly cheaper price.
In terms of design, the Realme GT Neo2T retains the rather typical design language of the Realme and OPPO devices launched recently. The machine is finished from plastic material on the back and frame.
The camera cluster design is quite similar to OPPO Reno with 3 cameras including 64MP wide-angle camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree viewing angle, and 2MP macro camera (4cm focus). The device only has 2 color options: black and white.
On the front, Realme GT Neo2T is equipped with a 6.43-inch screen, using an AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution and high-end 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits brightness. This screen uses a “waterdrop” design with a 16MP selfie camera, integrated with an optical fingerprint sensor under the screen. Basically, the screen of Realme GT Neo2T is no different from Realme GT Neo2.
Performance is a notable change of the Neo2T version compared to the standard version. In this version, Realme equips a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor instead of a Snapdragon 870. The performance of Dimensity 1200 is still too strong to handle common tasks and gaming entertainment tasks from heavy to light. The device has 8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB optional memory.
Realme GT Neo2T is equipped with a 4500mAh battery, slightly lower than the 5000mAh battery on the standard version, in return keeping the 65W fast charging capability.
In terms of price, Realme GT Neo2T will be priced in China starting from 1899 yuan (equivalent to $297) for the standard 8GB/128GB memory version.
This price is about 300 yuan (about $47) cheaper than GT Neo2. In the first round of sales, the device will be reduced by 100 yuan (around $15.50). The Realme GT Neo2T color options include Jet Black and Glaze White shades. The handset will be up for order on October 20th and will start selling in China from November 1st.
