The Poco X3 GT sits in the middle of that spectrum. It’s expected to be an affordable phone with no price at the time of writing offering a high-end MediaTek Dimensity 1100 internals, a chunky design, and overall, like a Pro sversion of the Redmi Note 10.
Design
Let’s talk about the design first. The Poco X3 GT is basically very similar to the Redmi Note 10 Pro launched earlier. It also uses a small frame with a high screen ratio and a mirror back. The appearance is indeed an entry-level phone. Not bad. However, the fuselage is a bit thick and heavy. Although the thickness and weight of the X3 GT are only 8.9mm and 193g respectively, the hardware balance in the machine may not be good enough, so it still feels heavy in the hand, and it is difficult to hold it for a long time. Thinner users will have a harder time. It is worth mentioning that the camera back is designed with a lens. Although it looks good, it is very easy to stick to fingerprints or dust, and it will be clearly displayed after sticking, which will affect the overall look and feel.
Display
First of all, the new Poco X3 GT is equipped with a screen with IPS LCD technology and a diagonal of 6.6 inches. This model, in turn, has a FullHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, and the panel is covered with Corning’s latest and strongest Gorilla Glass Victus glass.
Hardware
On the other hand, the phone is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1100 processor chipset, as we have briefly covered at the beginning. This octa-core chip has a maximum clock frequency of 2.6 GHz and a node size of 6 nm. Furthermore, it is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. Since it doesn’t support microSD cards, the device misses out on some expansion via the slot.
Cameras
In terms of the camera system, the Xiaomi Poco X3 GT comes with a triple camera system consisting of a 64 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an ultra-wide-angle shooter for taking 2.2 MP wide-angle photos with 8° viewing angle and f/120 aperture, and 2 MP macro lens for close-up photos. Of course, the terminal is equipped with 30K resolution video recording at 4 frames per second (fps), and for selfies, etc., it has a 2.5 MP front-facing camera with an f/16 aperture that sits in a hole in the screen.
Battery
The autonomy of this phone is provided by a huge battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. This is compatible with a 67W fast charging technology that promises to charge the device from empty to full in about 42 minutes via the USB-C input.
Connectivity and Other Features
The connectivity part of the phone has support for 5G NA and NSA networks, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 low energy, GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS. It also comes with an NFC chip for payment contactless (no contact). At the same time, in terms of the operating system, under the MIUI 11 customization layer, Poco is equipped with Android 12.5. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, 3.5mm jack input, and Liquid Technology 2.0 cooling to keep the phone from overheating under heavy use, whether playing high-performance games or demanding applications.
