Poco is expected to introduce new smartphones in India soon. According to rumors, they will be Poco F2, Poco F2 Lite and Poco X2. New data indicates that Poco X2 may be the first to debut in India. In a new publication, XDA Developers cites information from the Polish website, which posted a leak of a photo of the alleged Poco X2 smartphone and shows screenshots with the main characteristics. This information confirms earlier reports that the Redmi K30 4G, officially introduced in China in December, is likely to arrive in India under the name Poco X2.
A photograph of the alleged Poco X2 shows that the display has a notch for the dual front camera. The Redmi K30 has the same display design. The attached screen capture shows the About Phone pages with the name Poco X2 and All Features. You can see the model number M192G7BE – it, like the M192G7BC, belongs to the Redmi K30 4G.
The specifications page also indicates that the Poco X2 runs on an 8-core processor with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz, which also corresponds to the Snapdragon 730G; It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of constant. Android 10 OS is installed with the MIUI 11.0.2 shell (global version). The device also comes preinstalled with pheonixin ROM. The same code name was seen in the results of the Poco X2 in the Geekbench benchmark last week. Phoenix is the codename of the Redmi K30 4G phone, and the addition of the “in” suffix suggests that the Poco X2 introduced on Geekbench might be the Indian version of the Redmi K30 4G.
The Polish website also stated that the alleged Poco X2 does not support a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but could not confirm whether the phone supports NFC. The Poco X2 that fell into their hands may not have the final assembly of the platform, and it is not yet known whether these functions will be available in the final assembly on the device.
In December, a Redmi phone with model number M1912G7BI appeared in the Indian Standards Bureau (BIS) database. Since the model number is close to the Redmi K30 4G, it was believed that India would receive it soon. Recently, however, the M1912G7BI has been moved to the Poco section of the BIS. This suggests that India can get the Redmi K30 4G under the name Poco X2. A recent Poco teaser on Twitter indicates that the upcoming device from Poco may indeed be called the Poco X2.
