OUKITEL tested the latest tri-proof smartphone WP5000 by ice, hot water and slurry, proving its IP68 grade waterproof. Now it’s time to see its toughness- will it survive from the drop and car crash? OUKITEL released a new video to test its rugged body.
WP5000 gets double color molding for the body to ensure its capability of shock-proof and waterproof, combining soft and hard. Seamless protected USB Port and SIM card tray ensure that no water inserted the device while the insulation spacer below the screws put an end to water drops from screw gaps. OUKITEL also adopted IP68 grade receiver and speaker, it can even against vapor. Due to the material of the device, WP5000 has a rather rugged body against drop and crash. OUKITEL took several tests in the video. First, the smartphone was dropped from nearly 4.5 meters high on a bridge, then crashed by an iron hammer on the screen and back, and finally, a car runs over it twice by its two tires. Surprisingly, the phone survived all the tests and remained completely unharmed.
OUKITEL WP5000 is quite different from OUKITEL’s first tri-proof smartphone K10000 MAX. It is far too thinner and slimmer. It is processed in a shockproof body and is equipped with a 5.7-inch HD+display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by MediaTek helio P25 soc octa-core with a graphics accelerator Mali-T880. It runs on 6GB RAM and gets 64GB ROM for storage. The main camera is a dual camera with sensors for 16MP(interpolated to 21MP) and 5 megapixels. The front-facing camera is 8MP which will be interpolated to 13MP for selfies. What’s more, WP5000 combines a 5200mAh big battery to the rugged body for long time using and will pack a 12V/2A flash charger.
OUKITEL plans to bring WP5000 to market by end of March, but they are accepting subscription now to give $40 coupon codes for pre-orders. OUKITEL will also choose 2 lucky subscribers to give free WP5000. Until March 27th, you can participate in the subscription activity on OUKITEL official website.
