The Oukitel K series stands for smartphones with massive battery power at affordable prices. Now there is a new model called Oukitel K8000. As always, the number stands for the milliampere-hours of the battery and with a total of 8000mAh is quite a lot of it. In addition, the smartphone offers a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED screen, an octa-core processor from MediaTek, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of memory and a dual camera. we’ll tell you what else the Oukitel K8000 has to offer.
Design
The Oukitel K8000 has more than twice the capacity of normal smartphones and is, therefore, a pretty heavy device. With a weight of 232.8g, however, we are still within the tolerable range and the dimensions of 158 x 78 x 11mm are still surprisingly compact. In general, the Oukitel K8000 looks as if the manufacturer deliberately designed an inconspicuous battery phone. Consider this: More power than the Oukitel K8000 has in the smartphone market only Oukitel K10000 and this stands out with its exceptional design straight out of the crowd. With the K8000, a more subtle design was chosen, which pleases personally. The case is made of metal and on the front, there is a physical home button, which also acts as a fingerprint sensor. Whether there are soft-touch buttons on the left and right of the button, or whether the Oukitel K8000 is operated via on-screen buttons, does not appear in the pictures. Sim cards are inserted into a slot on the left ( dual-sim or memory expansion can be used) and the power button and volume control are on the right. There is also a headphone jack and a notification LED. The connection for the charging cable is a conventional MicroUSB connection.
Display
The display of the Oukitel K8000 measures 5.5 inches and is therefore relatively large. It uses an HD panel with 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone has thus a sufficient sharpness, with demanding users would certainly prefer a mobile phone with full HD display. In principle, contents still appear sufficiently sharp, but on closer inspection individual pixels are still perceptible. A special feature of the display is that it is not a typical IPS panel, but an AMOLED display. This promises a particularly low energy consumption, crisp colors and above all an infinitely high contrast. We are curious how this will look in reality.
Hardware
Oukitel K8000 Equipped with Mediatek MT6750T is designed for the standard user. The processor’s 8 Cortex-A53 cores clock at 4 x 1.5GHz and 4 x 1.0GHz and are supported by a 650MHz Mali-T860 GPU. The chipset provides enough power for daily tasks like Youtube, WhatsApp, and surfing. Even classic Android games such as Temple RUN or Subwaysurf can easily play the smartphone and even graphically demanding games are still playable with low detail. The RAM with 4GB of RAM is big enough for multitasking in the normal range and the internal memory offers 64GB of space for apps, music, and pictures. If required, the memory can be extended without the dual sim function. As the operating system, Android 7 is used. Oukitel leaves this on his smartphones largely unchanged, so you can probably enjoy a clean and fast system.
Camera
On the back is a 16-megapixel` camera with a second 2MP camera used. However, the dual-camera setup is just for marketing purposes and will provide no added value. Presumably, the second sensor is simply a dummy. Possibly. but will be nice standard shots with the main camera record. The same applies to the selfie camera with 13 megapixels.
Connectivity
As far as connectivity is concerned, the Oukitel K8000 is very well positioned, at least on the data sheet. 3G and LTE Internet is supported with all necessary frequencies in Germany and thanks to the dual sim function two numbers can be used simultaneously. Alternatively, one of the two Simslots can be supported for memory expansion. Wifi is available with b / g / n standard and Bluetooth with 4.2 standards. In addition to the standard sensors (acceleration, approximation, movement), Oukitel also packs a gyroscope and an e-compass into the smartphone.
Battery
The battery of the Oukitel K8000 is, as the name already suggests, gigantic 8000mAh. The smartphone has more than double the capacity of a standard 5.5-inch mobile phone on board. In addition, the display has a low resolution and works with economical AMOLED technology. As a standard user, you can, therefore, adjust to a good 3 days of use. If you rarely pick up your phone, even longer. The Oukitel K8000 is charged with a quick charge function, which should take about 2.5 hours to complete. The Oukitel K10000 had already worked well.
Conclusion
The Oukitel K8000 seems to be a promising niche smartphone. If you take the aforementioned properties for a brute battery life, you will probably get the right device with the Oukitel K8000. You can buy Oukitel K8000 From TOMTOP at $221.99
