The announcement of a new series of Oppo Reno 8 smartphones is expected in the near future. Shortly before the presentation, a smartphone of Oppo has been tested on Geekbench. The model number of the device is PGAM10, which sources claim to be the model number OPPO Reno 8.
The first benchmarks indicate the performance of Oppo Reno 8 in single and multi-core equal to 712/2385 points; then we have Android 12, 8GB of RAM, and a chipset with a maximum clock frequency of 2.36 GHz. Also in this case we are aiming for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
Other details about the phone have previously leaked. The Oppo Reno 8 will reportedly have a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display. It will have a refresh rate of 120Hz and a hole-punch cutout in the top center for the front camera.
The photographic sector of Reno 8 should rely on a triple module of 50 + 8 + 2MP with a Sony IMX766 main sensor, a wide-angle, and a macro/depth lens. The selfie camera would be a 32MP module. On the software side, we take for granted the presence of ColorOS 12, with Android 12.
For the battery, we are talking about a 4500mAh unit while the 3C certification body seems to confirm the presence of support for fast charging from 65W and 80W (perhaps based on the standard and Pro model). The device appears with the initials PGAM10, useful for any other certifications and benchmarks.
The presentation date of the Oppo Reno 8 series has not yet been officially confirmed: it seems that the event is set for next May 8 in China, but there is no confirmation from the company. Regarding the price of Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro, there are no details yet, so we will update this in-depth analysis as soon as news arrives.
