The first 5G smartphone arrives in Italy. Oppo, one of the major Chinese companies in the tech sector, launched Oppo Reno 5G in the Italian territory. And it is precisely on the Chinese front that Oppo presents itself as the 5th operator to put on the market a device compatible with the new networks of the so-called 5th generation. First, it was Huawei, LG, Samsung and Xiaomi who launched them.
Oppo’s smartphone, called Reno 5G, currently has Tim and Qualcomm as its main partners. Just Tim will bring the device to the Italian market from the end of July at a price of 890 euros (about $1010). Purchases will also be possible in installments or at conditions imposed by the operator such as the TIM Advance 5G Top offer.
Now let’s take a closer look at the technical features that will allow all this new interaction through the device: the panel mounted is a 6.6-inch OLED screen, with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9, with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1%. To cover the screen we find the 6th generation of Corning® Gorilla® Glass which ensures protection like never before.
Inside the body, there is a Qualcomm® Snapdragon ™ 855 Mobile Platform with 8GB of RAM and 256GB for storage. All these features will be delivered thanks to a powerful 4065mAh battery with Oppo’s flash charging technology called ” Vooc“, Intensified with the Vooc flash 3.0 that allows you to keep the voltage high during the maintenance charge so that you can allow longer battery life cycles.
On the back, we find a triple room: the first 48MP main HD lens + an 8MP wide-angle lens + a 13MP telephoto lens and a 16MP front camera. On the main lens, a Sony IMX586 sensor has been mounted which has a 4-in-1 focus even in low-light environments and a wide F1.7 aperture and with laser-sensing autofocus.
All the three rear cameras will work in symbiosis to maximize the individual characteristics of each lens so as to be able to offer image quality at maximum performance even at different zoom levels like the 10x hybrid; in addition, the smartphone has a dual optical stabilizer (OIS) for the main camera so you can always capture the most from your shots at any time.
Videos will be in 4K at 60 fps and, thanks to Ultra Night Mode 2.0, you can benefit from AI, HDR, and multi-frame noise reduction to achieve noise reduction, stabilization, and reduced overexposure impeccably. Of course, facial recognition will not be missing, a feature now used by almost everyone for immediate release. The Oppo Reno 5G will be available in Ocean Green and Jet Black colors exclusively with TIM.
